What material is the rock slab made of?

Rock slab is made of natural stone and inorganic clay through special process, vacuum extrusion molding and automatic closed roller kiln firing at 1300℃. At present, the thinnest rock slab is only 3mm, and the existing maximum specification is 3600× 1200mm.

There are two definitions of slate in the industry: first, some people think that slate mainly comes from imported brands, and some enterprises that operate slate independently as a single category will clearly distinguish slate from tiles; Secondly, some people think that the rock plate mainly comes from domestic ceramic enterprises, and that the rock plate is actually a ceramic plate or a kind of ceramic plate.

Compared with traditional building materials, it is a new type of material. As the countertop and background wall of bathroom or kitchen, rock slab does have many advantages, such as anti-pollution, heat resistance, scratch resistance, durability and ultraviolet resistance, and the surface does not need secondary treatment. The disadvantage is that rock slab is different from table top materials such as stone and does not have the characteristics of perfect grain. At present, the patterns of rock slabs are basically printed on the surface.

(1) Zero water absorption, zero penetration and no water stains on the surface.

The porosity of the rock slab surface is almost zero, so the anti-pollution level reaches level 5, which is hygienic and self-cleaning. Zero permeability, extremely anti-pollution, super-corrosion, water permeability of 10 thousand.

The characteristics of zero water absorption and zero permeability of rock slab are incomparable to stone. If the surface of stone products is not well protected, the stone products will be unrecognizable when they are in contact with water for a long time during construction and use, and the decorative effect of stone products will be greatly reduced. The characteristics of rock slab make it especially suitable for the decoration of watery areas, such as toilets, external walls, watery floors, kitchens and so on. No matter how long the surface of rock slab is exposed to water, it will not change the surface of rock slab. Just wipe it with a rag and the water on the surface will disappear.

(2) Fireproof, flame retardant, high temperature resistant and excellent fireproof materials.

Rock slabs do not change color, smoke or release harmful substances when burned with open flame, which meets the fire protection requirements of A 1. When exposed to an open flame, the rock slab will not produce any physical changes. How can you be afraid of fire when the temperature of rock slab is as high as 1200℃? However, stones must be tested for burning. It may not burn under the raging fire, but at least it will be unrecognizable.

(3) high hardness, wear resistance, and the board surface is not easy to scratch.

The Mohs hardness of rock plate is as high as 6 or above, and it is not afraid of wind erosion and scorching sun when applied to external walls; Used for floor decoration, not afraid of people stepping on it; Not afraid of being scratched by any sharp weapon, ordinary ceramic tiles are very suitable for processing table tops and kitchen cabinets.

(4) acid and alkali resistance, not afraid of strong acid and alkali corrosion

Can be widely used in demanding environments such as laboratories; Can be used for tables, coffee table tops and kitchen tops. Acid and alkali are basically powerless to rock slabs and cannot corrode them. Stone, especially marble, is in trouble when it meets acid and alkali.

(5) Not afraid of pollution, simple and convenient to clean.

Low water absorption, not easy to bleed, gently wipe to clean the surface stains. The performance of stone in this respect is far less than that of rock slab, and even if it is protected, it can not meet the requirements of not being afraid of pollution. Stone is also extremely difficult to clean, and it needs professional treatment after pollution.

(6) The surface of the rock slab is clean and sanitary, and there are no harmful metal elements.

Inorganic materials are non-toxic and radiation-free, and any food can be directly placed on the surface of the rock plate for food processing. Therefore, the slate is especially suitable for making the tabletop of various food tables.

Rock slabs are light in weight. Although the rock slab can be made into the size of 1600*3200, it is light, far less heavy than stone, which brings convenience to the handling of products in production and processing and increases the safety of production personnel. Rock slab is a kind of light and large plate, and its performance in this respect far exceeds that of stone. The decoration of the external wall brings convenience to the construction workers far more than stone. Because of its light weight, rock slabs can be used in buildings with strict load-bearing restrictions, elevator cars and luxury cruise ships, and can enter the field of architectural decoration with strict restrictions on stone weight.

(8) There is no crack in the rock slab.

There are no cracks in the slate. Compared with marble, it is better to use slate as a tabletop, and there is no safety risk of fracture from production and processing to use.
