Our school is an advanced smoke-free unit in the province and a member school of mental health education in the city center. Students' nutrition education and injury prevention are relatively good, but with the increase of only-child families, children's self-care ability is not strong. Based on this situation, our school has carried out practical research on "life skills" health education (according to the definition of the World Health Organization, life skills are the ability of individuals to effectively cope with various needs and challenges in daily life, especially the ability related to psychosocial and interpersonal communication).
First, establish a project leading group and an implementation group to improve various rules and regulations.
Our school has set up a leading group and an implementation group to create a "health promotion school". The principal is the leader of the leading group and the deputy secretary is the leader of the executive group. The Political and Educational Affairs Office is responsible for the daily work, with clear division of labor and clear responsibilities in each office, and insists on holding group meetings every month. In addition, our school participated in the project training meeting organized by Zhejiang Province and went to Wenzhou to inspect the local establishment work. In the process of health education in our school, we constantly improve various rules and regulations, strive to achieve "sound system and standardized management", and seek benefits from management, so as to achieve standardized results.
Second, broaden the channels of publicity, so that the concept of "health" is deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
1. Our school has broken down the concept of "Health Promotion School", interpreted it in easy-to-understand language, and published a series of articles on "Reading Health Promotion School", which were explained to the teachers and students by the Political and Education Department in the form of live TV broadcast, so that everyone can understand the purpose, background, principles and characteristics of "Health Promotion School" and realize the significance of this project, so as to consciously participate in it.
2. Promote the "Health Promotion School" through the "Golden Key to Life" activity on campus and with the help of students' own propaganda power. Our school selected 10 "Golden Keys to Life" through the top ten "Golden Keys to Life" competitions on campus, and organized them to carry out some collective activities.
3. Several girls from Class 303 in our school spontaneously cooperated and wrote a song called "Beyond Dreams" for "Health Promotion School". This song has become the main theme of the establishment of our school's "health promotion school" and the theme song of our school's health education festival, which has endowed the promotion of our school's "health promotion school" with artistic beauty.
Third, carefully plan and hold the school health education festival.
From June 5 to February 2004, our school held the first health education festival, held a fresh and elegant opening ceremony and a "beautiful display" flower arrangement competition. At the same time, through the "healthy you, me and him" knowledge contest, students can understand basic health knowledge and enhance their health beliefs.
From June 5, 2005 to 10, our school held the second health education festival. After the opening ceremony, we invited policemen from jiangdong district Traffic Police Brigade and jiangdong district Fire Brigade to help us jointly hold the "Safe Miles" skill competition, which attracted the attention of many media.
From June 5 to February 2006, our school held the third Health Education Festival. After the opening ceremony, 10 students won the title of "Campus Health Ambassador" through the "Campus Health Ambassador" Selection Competition. Then, the school cooperated with Ningbo jiangdong district Fire Brigade to hold a fire escape simulation drill. The fire police officer made a summary and demonstrated the use of the fire extinguisher on the spot, so that the students could experience the escape skills in the fire. With the assistance of the municipal emergency center, we held the "Four Ambulances" competition, and each class sent an ambulance team to participate in the competition of hemostasis, dressing, fixation and handling. Under the training of the municipal emergency center, the competition was successful and achieved the expected results.
