As a young volunteer in China, teaching in Jingyuan No.2 Middle School is coming to an end. One year's teaching life has taught me a lot. Focusing on teaching and improving students' scientific and cultural quality will directly serve the development of local education. After arriving in Jingyuan, the Youth League Committee and the County Education Bureau arranged for us to work in Jingyuan No.2 Middle School. Compared with the previous two sessions of Ningda Education Group, the conditions of the schools we serve this year are better. Jingyuan No.2 Middle School is a county-level rural middle school, built in 1979, located in Jingheyuan Town by the water mirror. The Jinghua Highway passing through Liupan Mountain National Forest Park passes in front of the school. The school covers an area of 30,040 square meters with a building area of 5,307 square meters. The library has 7643 books, including a biochemical laboratory and a physics laboratory. The school has 70 teaching staff, 38 teaching staff and 32 teaching teachers. The school has 16 classes and 1006 students (472 girls).
The school arranged accommodation for us the day after we arrived, and the guidance office also arranged teaching courses for us this semester. I work as a geography teacher in six classes of Grade Seven. Because I majored in journalism in college, I was arranged to help write materials and documents in the school office according to the needs of the school. This is the trust of the school in me and further enhances my confidence in teaching! As far as teaching tasks are concerned, there are 14 classes every week, and there is also a night study. Last year, the geography of Jingyuan No.2 Middle School ranked last in the county-wide unified examination, and the teaching pressure was great. The students' foundation is very weak, so it is difficult to carry out teaching work. I didn't flinch in the face of unprecedented pressure. The sense of teaching responsibility and mission urges me to take the improvement of teaching quality as my own responsibility and seriously think about teaching methods suitable for mountain students. After a period of serious study and research on educational theory and teaching materials, I have made a detailed exploration of the characteristics of students and teaching in mountainous areas and gradually explored new teaching methods. In classroom teaching, I prepare lessons as fully as possible and choose different questions according to the different levels of students in class. And I will collect information from all sides, download advanced teaching plans from the internet, ask teachers for teaching methods, and strive to enrich classroom teaching content and enliven the atmosphere; Caring and caring for students, combining students' thoughts and actual learning situation, enriching classroom teaching forms and contents. "Hard work pays off." Last semester, the seventh grade geography subject of Jingyuan No.2 Middle School won the second place in the county geography examination.
In addition to normal teaching, I actively participate in various teaching and research activities organized by Jingyuan No.2 Middle School, exchange teaching experience with teachers in our school, and improve teaching level. This year, I participated in the open class training for young teachers organized by the school and the selection of school-level excellent courses in Jingyuan No.2 Middle School. Fortunately, I won the first prize in the selection of school-level excellent courses, which really benefited me a lot! Carrying forward the spirit of volunteers and taking various forms to help students with excellent academic performance solve their urgent needs have greatly stimulated their determination to study hard and become successful. After in-depth understanding of the poor students in Jingyuan, we carried out related assistance activities with the theme of "Red Candle Action and Caring for Education". As a graduate student aid group of Ningxia University, we play a team spirit, actively get in touch with "Everyday Charity" with the group leader as the center, actively strive for various funds, and do our best to help poor students. Up to now, * * * has subsidized 50 students, with a total subsidy of 1.5 million yuan, enabling many children who are facing dropping out of school to return to school. In addition, I also actively participated in the school's "Thousand Talents Program" assistance activities. I directed three students to create literary works of "Thousand Talents Program" and "Western Story", which won 1200 yuan for these three students (Grade One). In my daily study and life, I am good at dealing with my different identities on different occasions. For students, it is not enough to be strict with teachers; It is not advisable to make intimate friends with them blindly. In teaching, I am strict with teachers. In class, I want to encourage students to learn unlimited knowledge in a limited time of 45 minutes, so I am very serious in class, but this is only for teaching, not for a certain type of students. " "I tried to adopt this idea, but the effect was not obvious. Some classes have poor classroom discipline, and some students want to listen, but they don't hear my explanation. But after class, I often chat with my classmates to understand their learning trends and help students with learning difficulties.
In life, my history teacher Jolie and I are as concerned about the growth of students and their food, clothing, housing and transportation as our parents. Most students are boarding at school now. School is their second home, and teachers are their second parents. After the evening self-study, we help with our homework. The window glass of the dormitory is broken, so we help to install new glass; There are sick students in the dormitory, and we find medicine to send them; Students have worries, and we help them solve them; In hot days, there is boiling water to quench their thirst, and in cold days, there is hot water to warm their feet ... to solve small problems in their daily lives and let them learn other life knowledge besides learning.

In my geography teaching process, the teaching concept of broadening students' horizons runs through. At the same time of courseware teaching, I show them more pictures outside to stimulate their fighting spirit for pursuing their ideals. In the process of geography courseware teaching, I showed them the relevant pictures of Ningxia University, which made the students in the service school better understand the history, present situation and development of Ningxia University, which greatly broadened their horizons and made them more accurately realize the deepest connotation of knowledge changing their destiny. In addition, in the teaching of world geography, I aim to emphasize that the outside world is wonderful, stimulate students' enthusiasm for studying hard and building mountains, and thus increase the ways for students to know the world.

In the process of communicating with students, one aspect is to have fun with students, participate in their group activities, such as the class meeting of Class 3, Grade 7, and actively discuss the methods of class construction with students. I actively participated in the tug-of-war and basketball match of the "Li Tao Cup" sports meeting and encouraged the students to cheer. Students like teachers to communicate with them in this way, thinking that we college students have no shelf. It turns out that they think our college students outside are aloof and unattainable. They said, "You don't have that big shelf, and we can get along like brothers and sisters." We also played striding with the students, which was the first time in Jingyuan No.2 Middle School. This is the first time that teachers have played this game with students on campus. If there is anything gained from the interaction with students, I am very impressed with them except teaching.
