What's the problem?
The raw material of valsartan produced by Huahai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. was found to contain "N- nitrosodimethylamine (NDMA)", and NDMA is currently judged as a Class 2A carcinogen by drug regulatory agencies in the European Union and other countries. According to the list of carcinogens published by the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization, 1 has the highest level of carcinogens, and it is a definite carcinogen for people, such as aflatoxin. However, these two types of carcinogens are divided into 2A and 2B, and 2A carcinogen may cause cancer to human body.

What kind of recalled drugs does valsartan belong to?
According to the notice issued by the State Administration of Pharmaceutical Products on July 29th, Huahai Pharmaceutical has six pharmaceutical manufacturers involved in the use of valsartan. Valsartan capsules (National Medicine Zhunzi H20 10352 1) produced by Hunan Qianjin Xiangjiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. have not yet left the factory, and the NDMA in the listed products of other five manufacturers exceeds the standard, namely:
