The visual development process of infants

Vision refers to the ability of retina to distinguish images. As early as the fourth week of pregnancy, fetal vision has been formed. At this time, the fetal eyes are small and covered with a layer of cortex. In the next four to five months, the optic nerve, blood vessels, lens and retina began to develop, and by the sixth month, the fetal eyes had developed greatly.

After birth, the baby's vision gradually develops and improves, and gradually reaches the adult visual state at the age of 6-7. After the age of 8, the eye reflex has been very stable, and the visual development has basically ended.

Newborns born within 28 days have hypoplasia of eyes, immature visual structure and optic nerve, and their vision is only 1/30 of that of adults.

1 ~ 3 years old children's visual development standard can reach about 0. 1 ~ 0.6. During this period, the establishment of baby's stereoscopic vision is nearing completion.

4-6-year-old children's eyesight gradually matures, and the clarity of vision has improved. At the age of 6, he basically reached the level of an adult. Various eye physiological reflexes have been formed and tend to be stable, so it is not easy to lose sight at this time.

6 ~ 7 years old into the adult visual state.
