What should sows do if they are not in estrus?

The method is as follows:

1, endometritis

Endometritis is the main common pathological factor leading to sow infertility. Mucinous or suppurative inflammation caused by bacteria in the uterine mucosa of sick sows makes sows appear abnormal estrus or normal estrus, but it is not easy to get pregnant, and even if pregnant, it is easy to miscarry.

Prevention and treatment measures: acute endometritis: choose 10% physiological saline, 0. 1% potassium permanganate, 0.02% bromogeramine and other solutions for repeated washing.

Chronic endometritis: 200,000 ~ 400,000 units of penicillin and 6,543,800,000 units of streptomycin can be injected into uterus.

Systemic treatment: penicillin 654.38+0.6 million ~ 2 million units plus streptomycin 654.38+0 million units or chlortetracycline and oxytetracycline 40 mg per kilogram of body weight, intramuscular injection twice a day for one week.

2. Infertility of sow caused by ovarian cyst

Due to the imbalance between follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), one or two follicles of sows are enlarged, and many vesicles are accumulated to form luteal cysts, which leads to estrus of sows.

Preventive measures: if lutein secretion is insufficient, 2000~5000 units of HCG can be injected.

3. sow infertility caused by persistent corpus luteum

Due to the invasion of bacteria and viruses, the sow's fetus stays in the sow's uterus for a long time, can't give birth normally, the corpus luteum can't be dissolved, and progesterone is constantly secreted, which leads to oestrus pregnancy, fetal death and mummification.

Prevention and treatment measures: injection of prostaglandin 10 ml, corpus luteum disappears quickly, and foreign bodies can be discharged in about 24 hours.

4. Continuous estrus leads to sow infertility.

The main reason is that the pituitary gland secretes insufficient HL (luteinizing hormone), or the balance between LH (luteinizing hormone) and FSH is out of balance due to excessive FSH, which prevents ovulation and leads to infertility of sows.

Preventive measures: intramuscular injection of HCG (chorionic gonadotropin) 500 units.
