Why do people need psychology now?

Only 20% of a person's success comes from intelligence, and 80% comes from non-intelligence aspects, such as leadership, resilience, perseverance, emotional stability, achievement motivation and so on.

Among non-intelligence factors, most of them are inseparable from psychology. It is no exaggeration to say that "psychology is the success of science and a subject that everyone should study." China's first blue book on mental health, China National Mental Health Development Report (20 17~20 18) (hereinafter referred to as the blue book), points out: China's national mental health needs are huge, but people's perceived psychological counseling services are inconvenient. In recent years, the Institute of Psychology of Chinese Academy of Sciences has conducted three surveys on the demand for mental health services in China. 88% of the respondents think that mental health work is important, while 74% of the respondents think that "psychological consultation service is inconvenient", which shows that there is a big gap between people's mental health needs and the mental health services that can be provided to the people at present.

According to the specific mental health needs, the survey shows that the knowledge of "self-regulation" is the most needed by the people, and 53.0% of the respondents said they need it, followed by "educating children", "interpersonal communication", "prevention and treatment of mental illness", "vocational guidance" and "marriage". So, what can we do to learn psychology? What are the benefits? We all need to learn a little psychology.
