Five Blessingg was first published in Shang Shu Hong Fan. Five Blessingg was recorded as "longevity, wealth, health, morality and final exam". Later, due to taboos and other reasons, "Five Blessingg" also changed. For example, Huan Tan in the Eastern Han Dynasty changed "the final life of the senior high school entrance examination" to "many descendants" in "New Doubts 13", and later "Five Blessingg" became "long life, wealth, happiness, virtue and many descendants"
In the traditional culture of the Han nationality, bats are symbols of good luck and happiness. People often say that "Five Blessingg (Bat) is coming" is made up of those five bats. This "Five Blessingg" represents five auspicious blessings: longevity is better than Nanshan, congratulations on getting rich, health and safety, noble character, and good beginning and good ending. In traditional customs, Five Blessingg (Bat) together constitutes a happy life!

Contemporary scholars' views on the study of Fu culture have revised and supplemented the ancient view of happiness, namely, Five Blessingg's "long life, wealth, nobility and health", and expounded the new connotation of "Five Blessingg", establishing the significance and standards of contemporary happy life, namely, wealth, virtue, well-being, pursuit and a good end.
