In order to further popularize the knowledge of prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) and enhance teachers' and students' understanding of IDD, according to the spirit of the document notice of the County Education Bureau on the 20th IDD Day, primary and secondary schools in our school district organized the 20th IDD Day publicity activities. The current activities are summarized as follows:
First, leaders attach great importance to it and organize it carefully.
In order to do a good job in this publicity activity, the central school set up the 20th "IDD Prevention and Control Day" leading group, held a meeting attended by primary and secondary school principals, and arranged the educational activities of the "IDD Prevention and Control Day".
Second, highlight the theme and take various forms.
1. With the theme of "scientifically supplementing iodine, protecting intelligence and realizing dreams", the publicity campaign vigorously publicizes the achievements and the situation faced by the prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders in our county, so that teachers and students can fully understand the harm of iodine deficiency disorders, master the knowledge of iodine deficiency disorders prevention and control, and widely mobilize all teachers and students to participate in the prevention and control of iodine deficiency disorders.
2. Junior high schools and central primary schools invited township hospitals to make use of the gathering time on May 18 to vigorously carry out publicity activities on prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders by setting up information desks, placing publicity boards, hanging banners and distributing leaflets.
3. In the form of billboards and blackboard newspapers, all schools and classes widely publicize the knowledge of prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders, the significance of scientific and suitable iodine supplementation and the consumption of qualified iodized salt, which makes the publicity activities more extensive and in-depth.
4. Junior high schools, central primary schools and other schools distributed the knowledge of prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders, and all the teachers and students in the school had one copy, which increased the publicity and achieved good results.
5. The school used the flag-raising ceremony to publicize the scientific knowledge of prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders to all teachers and students, and increased publicity.
6. Before and after the "IDD Prevention Day", each school arranged a class-based health education class on "IDD prevention and treatment" to enhance students' awareness of disease prevention and treatment. Education can achieve three goals: class hours, personnel and teaching plans.
7. The headquarters of the central school reviewed the situation of salt use in school canteens, demanded the use of iodized salt, and distributed relevant materials such as "Problems needing attention in the use of iodized salt" and "How to distinguish between true and false iodized salt" to canteen staff.
8. Organize teachers and students to watch videos and questionnaires on prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders. With the joint efforts of all schools in the whole school district, the activity achieved the expected goal.
