Lu 'an was named after Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty who said, "All six places are safe and never rebel". As early as the years of Yao and Shun, a justice in charge of justice-Hao Tao appeared in Lu 'an.
Hao Tao, the originator of justice in China, was buried here after his death because his hometown was in Lu 'an. Assisting the three monarchs of Yao, Shun and Yu played an important role in history. He was originally the chosen successor of Yu, but he died at the age of 8 1 because of his advanced age, so he failed to inherit the abdication position. Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, said: Life is seventy years old, and ancient emperors and generals could have lived a hundred years.
When I come to Lu 'an for the first time, I am inevitably curious about a strange city. I have relatives living there, so I was lucky enough to go to Lu 'an with my father during the Spring Festival last year to pay a New Year call to my elderly second grandfather and kind second grandmother.
I took the high-speed train from my hometown to Hefei, the provincial capital, and then transferred to Lu' an; Because there is no direct high-speed rail. It was the rush hour in Spring Festival travel rush, and many passengers were busy grabbing tickets. Father checked the tickets with his mobile phone and found that there were just two tickets left. We hurried to get them.
The city of Lu 'an impressed me, just like a plate on the map of Anhui Province, with the largest area, which people have to admire. However, its position in this province actually ranks 14 (there are 16 prefecture-level cities in Anhui Province), which makes people feel surprised and inexplicably disappointed. Relatively speaking, when Hefei, the provincial capital, was a small county before liberation (before new China), it was far less than Lu 'an, the largest city in the province. Why?
1 year ago, during the Spring Festival, Yu and his father were lucky enough to meet a reporter from Anhui Daily in the West Anhui Museum. Father and the reporter hit it off as soon as they met, talking and laughing. Father thinks journalists are humorous, young and knowledgeable. The reporter took the initiative to greet us, show his press card and verify his identity. My father even told reporters that Yu appreciated his position most.

Lu 'an was called Gaocheng in ancient times and was named after Hao Tao. I went to Gaotao Tomb, only in the suburbs. The ancient tomb has been sleeping there for about 4000 years, which is really rare in China! Every year in Tomb-Sweeping Day, the People's Government of Lu 'an specially holds a public sacrifice ceremony for Hao Tao, the originator of justice. The citizens and tourists who come to pay homage applaud and come in an endless stream.
The mother river of Lu 'an is called Pi River, and what I will never forget is a suspension bridge on Pi River. The suspension bridge is very long and crumbling. This is the first time in my life to experience walking on the "single-plank bridge", and so is my father.
