Chickens can be selected mainly by listening, watching and touching.
First, listen.
That is, when we choose chickens, we can see it from their songs. Generally, good chicks are louder and clearer, while poor chicks are relatively weaker.
Second, look.
Look, we can be divided into three points, size, color and mental state.
1, depending on size
That is, when we choose chicks, we should pay attention to the overall situation of the flock. Generally, the overall size difference of good chickens is very small, and the size difference of chicks is similar, and the proportion of weak chickens should be within 3%. If there is a big difference in body shape, it means that the quality of chickens in this flock is not high.
2. Look at this color
When we choose chickens, we will pay attention to the overall color of the birds. Generally, the overall color of good chicks is yellow. If there is variegated phenomenon in birds, such as yellow and white are different, it means that chickens don't hatch at the same time, yellow comes early and white comes late.
Step 3 look at your mental state
It is when we choose chickens that we pay attention to their mental state. Generally, healthy chicks are lively and strong. If the chicken's mental state shows that it doesn't like to stand, its eyes are dull and listless, it shows that the chicken's quality is poor.
Third, touch
After listening and watching, we can hold the chicken in our hands and distinguish its advantages and disadvantages through contact and cooperation with the following four points.
1, the belly of high-quality chicks is soft, the navel heals well, and there are no bad phenomena such as black umbilicus, closed umbilicus and big belly.
2. The legs of high-quality chicks are yellow and plump, and there is no redness at the tarsal joints. If the legs you come into contact with are white and dull, it means that they are inferior chickens, and remind everyone that if the chicken is dehydrated, your skin will be dull and there will be blood vessels protruding in the chicken's claws. Please look carefully.
3. There is no bleeding at the beak tip of high-quality chicks.
4. Touch the chicken feet with your hands. Generally, the paw temperature of high-quality chicken is not lower than the chicken's body temperature. If you put the chicken on the back of your hand or the back of your neck to make you feel cold, it means that the chicken has a low body temperature and belongs to inferior chicken.
