Fundamental difference: FCC certification is American certification;
CE certification is EU certification;
3C certification is a domestic certification in China.
In addition, other differences include differences in test content, regulatory agencies, controlled product range and certificate validity period.
Test content requirements are different.
3C certification test includes safety and EMC；;
FCC certification tests include EMC, RF and SAR；;
CE certification tests include safety, EMC, RF and SAR.
3C, a different certification body, is the China Quality Certification Center, which belongs to government agencies.
FCC certification is the responsibility of the Federal Communications Commission and belongs to a government agency.
CE certification bodies are thousands of organizations all over the world and belong to service organizations.
The product range is different. There is a list of compulsory 3C certified products, including wires and cables, electrical appliances, power tools, audio and video, information equipment, etc.
The scope of FCC certified products can be simply understood as charging products;
CE certified products cover a wide range, including electronic products, mechanical equipment, toys, medical care, building materials and so on.
The validity period of certificates is different. 3C certification is valid for 5 years and needs annual review.
The validity of FCC certification is long-term, and the certificate will remain valid as long as the laws and regulations corresponding to the product remain unchanged;
CE certificate is valid for a long time. As long as the laws and regulations corresponding to the product remain unchanged, the certificate will remain valid.
Factory inspection requires different 3C certifications.
FCC and CE certification do not require factory inspection.
