Classification and management responsibilities of five-color management for high-risk pregnant women

Legal analysis: medical institutions should establish the responsibility system for first-visit pregnant women, and the first-visit medical institutions should screen pregnant women who file for the first time. Medical institutions at or above the second level that provide midwifery technical services shall evaluate pregnant women with positive pregnancy risk screening and conduct classified management of pregnant women. Medical institutions that assess the pregnancy risk of pregnant women are divided into five colors according to the severity of the risk: green (low risk), yellow (general risk), orange (high risk), red (high risk) and purple (infectious disease). For pregnant women whose pregnancy risks are classified as yellow, orange, red and purple, it is suggested that they receive prenatal care services and hospital delivery in medical institutions above the second level. Pregnant women who suffer from potentially life-threatening diseases and are not suitable for continuing pregnancy should be assessed and diagnosed by doctors with the qualifications of deputy chief physician or above in medical institutions at level 3 or above, inform them of the risks of continuing pregnancy, put forward scientific and rigorous medical advice, and strictly implement the pregnancy risk prevention system.
