Physical examination of primary and secondary school students is conducted once a year in accordance with the requirements of the Measures for the Administration of Physical Examination of Primary and Secondary School Students jointly issued by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.
Physical examination items include routine medical examination (heart, lung, liver and spleen); Ophthalmic examination (vision, trachoma, conjunctivitis); Dental examination (teeth, periodontal); Laboratory tests (tuberculin test, alanine aminotransferase and bilirubin of liver function), etc.
If necessary, other items, such as hemoglobin, hepatitis B markers, etc., shall be appropriately supplemented according to the inspection items required by relevant national laws and regulations or local specific conditions.
