Can the hospital prescribe health care products for patients?

Doctors in hospitals can prescribe health care products, but hospitals can't sell them because hospitals don't have health food approval certificates. According to the doctor law, doctors have the right to make health care plans.

Case: A man from Shanxi went to see Dr. Yang from the Department of Retinology, Eye Hospital to see senile macular disease. The doctor prescribed scenery chewable tablets and asked him to buy them at Ronghua Pharmacy outside Xinghualing Central Hospital. This scenery chewable tablet is a health care product, and the medicine package says that this product cannot replace medicine.

After a family petitioned, they got the following results:

Shanxi Provincial Health and Wellness Committee informed the complainant that after verification:

1. Jingzhi chewable tablet is a trade name, and the drug is lutein, which is mainly used to treat age-related macular degeneration.

2. The provincial eye hospital can't buy lutein tablets. It is recommended that patients go to the pharmacy near the hospital to buy them.

3. The doctor's diagnosis and treatment process is serious, careful, reasonable and standardized, and there is no illegal behavior.
