The Standard of College Students' Emotional Health

According to the Standard of College Students' Mental Health issued by the Mental Health Education Center, the standard of college students' mental health includes normal intelligence, emotional health, sound will, complete personality, harmonious interpersonal relationship, correct self-evaluation, normal social adaptation and psychological behavior in line with college students' age characteristics.

1. Normal intelligence: it is the basic psychological condition for college students to study, live and work, and it is also the necessary psychological guarantee to adapt to the changes in the surrounding environment. Therefore, when measuring, the key lies in whether they play their role normally and fully: that is, they have a strong thirst for knowledge, are willing to learn and can actively participate in learning activities.

2. Emotional health: it is marked by emotional stability and a happy mood. The contents include: happy emotions are more than negative emotions, optimistic, cheerful, full of vitality and full of hope for life; Emotional stability, good at controlling and regulating their emotions, both restraint and reasonable venting; Emotional response adapts to the environment.

3. Sound will: college students with sound will have a conscious purpose in all kinds of activities, can make decisions in time and use effective methods to solve problems they encounter, can adopt reasonable coping methods in the face of difficulties and setbacks, and can control their emotions and words and deeds in their actions, rather than blindly acting, fearing difficulties and sticking to their own opinions.

4. Integrity of personality: the perfection of personality refers to having a sound and unified personality, that is, what individuals think, say and do is harmonious and consistent.

5. Harmonious interpersonal relationship: I am willing to communicate with others, have extensive and profound interpersonal relationships, and have intimate friends; Maintain an independent and complete personality in communication, be self-aware and self-evident, and be neither humble nor supercilious; Can objectively evaluate others and oneself, learn from others' advantages to make up for their shortcomings, be tolerant and helpful, have more positive attitude than negative attitude, and have correct communication motivation.

6. Correct self-evaluation is an important condition for college students' mental health. In self-observation, self-identification, self-judgment, and self-evaluation, we can be self-aware, know ourselves correctly, and put ourselves in a correct position. We are neither proud of being superior to others in some aspects, nor feel inferior to others in some aspects. In the face of setbacks and difficulties, they can accept themselves, like themselves, accept themselves, be self-respecting, self-reliant, self-controlled and love themselves.

7. Social adaptation is normal: individuals keep good contact with the objective environment, so that their behaviors and thoughts are in harmony with society. When the environment changes, we should face and understand it correctly, deal with all kinds of difficulties in the environment with effective methods, and strive to adapt ourselves to the environment.

8. Psychological behavior conforms to the age characteristics of college students: they should have psychological behavior characteristics corresponding to their roles. A person's life includes different age stages, and each age stage shows corresponding qualitative characteristics, which are called psychological age characteristics. The development of a person's psychological behavior always changes with age. If a person's cognition, emotion, speech and behavior basically conform to his age characteristics, it is a manifestation of mental health; If you seriously deviate from the corresponding age characteristics, your development is seriously lagging behind or ahead, which is the performance of abnormal behavior and mental health.
