Chen Ziang

Saints are not selfish, but sad in Yuanyuan. Huang Jia Fei Yao, Yao and Tai 'an! I heard that it is westernized, very pure and peaceful. Why is it that the jade is beyond the jade and the carving is respectable? Yunshan is exhausted, and Yaotu pearls are annoying. Ghost work is not possible yet, but human resources can be saved? Praise fools increases fatigue, praise wisdom leads to fainting.

Chen Ziang (66 1-702) was born in Shehong County, Sichuan Province. Wu Zetian used to be the founder of Lin Tai. She was admired by the rulers because she had the right to collect information, cared about people's livelihood and was extremely remonstrant. He once conquered the Khitan with Wu Youyi, frustrated, boarded Youzhou Taiwan, remembered the ancients, lamented generously, and sang, "In front of me, where have those lost times gone?" Behind me, where are the future generations? I think of heaven and earth, there is no limit, there is no end, I am alone, and my tears fall down. Resigned at the age of 38 and returned to his hometown. The next year, he was framed by the cruel official Duan Jian and died.

Chen Ziang's Preface to Bamboo opposes the poetic style that has been sluggish since Qi and Liang Dynasties, advocates the style of Han and Wei Dynasties, emphasizes prosperity and holds high the banner of poetic innovation. In addition, his great achievements in the creation of five-character poems eventually led to the healthy development of poetry and laid the foundation for the arrival of poetry in the prosperous Tang Dynasty.

This is a poem criticizing Wu Hou's evil strategy of killing Buddha. In the first year of God-given (690), "Fa Ming, a monk of the Eastern Wei Temple, wrote the Dayun Sutra in four volumes, which stated that Empress Dowager Cixi was born under Maitreya Buddha, and the contemporary Tang Dynasty was created by Jambu-Di^pa." (Zi Zhi Tong Jian (Volume 204)) Since Buddhists helped her fabricate the theological basis for claiming the title of emperor, she has been engaged in the activities of worshipping Buddha, and spared no expense in building Buddhist temples and carving Buddha statues. Long live the first year (695). "At the beginning, Tang Ming was founded, and the Queen Mother ordered the eminent monk Huai Yi to make a big statue. There are still dozens of people under his little finger, and a paradise was built in northern Tang Ming to store them. When the church was first built, it was destroyed by the strong wind, and it was built later. Over the past few years, it has cost trillions, and the government is exhausted. Huaiyi uses money like dirt, and the queen mother listens to it without asking. Every time there is no cover, it costs a lot of money; Men and women get together, and they spend ten years of money, just to fight for this and practice death. Most public and private farmland houses are owned by monks. " (History as a Mirror, Volume 205) This poem is aimed at the above abuses.

This poem can be divided into three levels.

The first four sentences say that ancient sages such as Yao, Shun and Yu did not pursue personal interests, but worried about the country and the people. Yao doesn't want to sit in a gorgeous yellow car; Not to mention living in a luxurious palace decorated with jade platforms. This is based on the thrifty love of ancient saints to contrast the arrogance and extravagance of today's rulers, and its critical edge is very sharp.

The second layer of eight sentences, from the perspective of Buddhism itself, is to use the spear of Confucius as a shield for attack. It is said that Buddhism from the west advocates purity, and the purer it is, the bigger it will be. Why do you want to squander money and jade, and carefully carve the Buddha statue before you feel dignified? In order to build towering temples, cut down forests, and shape beautiful Buddha statues, jade was searched from the people. Even if ghosts and gods can't do it, how can manpower do it? At that time, Di had remonstrated with Wu Zetian, and his suggestion in remonstrance almost coincided with mine: "If you come to teach, you should give priority to compassion and help the masses. It should be your heart. Do you want to try to save your vanity? " (Biography of Di in the Old Tang Dynasty) Isn't this "I know about westernization, and I am honest and clean"? Di Renjie added, "Today's Galand has built palaces. The sense of luxury is extremely strong, and the paintings are all done. Beaded with jewels, your material is in the wheel. Work is not a ghost, only people who are on the job; Things don't come every day, and eventually they will come out; If it does not harm the people, what will it be? " (ditto) Isn't this "how can you be rich and poor and carve it for respect?" Yunshan is exhausted, and Yaotu pearls are annoying. Ghost has not worked yet, but human resources can be saved "? As can be seen from the above comparison, Chen Ziang's poem "Feeling" is simply a memorial service, which is highly targeted.

The third floor is the last two sentences, which mean that the rulers boast to the ignorant with luxurious Buddhist temple buildings and Buddha statues, which just increases their worries; The rulers tried to use Buddhism to show off their intelligence, which only made politics more chaotic. These two sentences are a summary of the whole poem, and once again emphasize the serious harm of the rulers' worship of Buddha.

This poem is full of arguments. How to treat the arguments in poetry? Shen Deqian put it very well in On Poetry: "People say that poetry is the protagonist, not the main argument, but it seems to be true. Try to think about where Er Ya hasn't discussed it. In Du Lao's ancient poems, such works as "Ode to the First Head", "Journey to the North" and "Eight Sorrow" are purely discussions. But the discussion must be emotional and not close to the father's face. " Chen Ziang's poem "Feeling" intercedes for people with very angry feelings, which fully meets the requirements of Shen Shi, so it is a successful discussion.
