According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Caofeidian area belongs to Tangshan City, Hebei Province, located in the center of Bohai Sea, south of Tangshan and adjacent to Beijing and Tianjin. Caofeidian area is the hometown of oriental prawn in China, the hometown of red jellyfish in China and the national demonstration county of healthy fishery breeding. Caofeidian has the second largest state-owned farm in China, with a total wetland area of 540 square kilometers. It is a natural gene bank of wild animal and plant species, an international migration place of rare migratory birds and a national 4A-level tourist attraction. It is called "a wetland reserve unique to the north, rare in China and with great development potential" by the International Wetland Organization.
