Does it matter if medical insurance is interrupted for a month?

The interruption of medical insurance for one month has a certain impact, but it has little impact.

Medical insurance is social medical insurance, also known as "sickness social insurance" or "health social insurance". A social insurance in which the income of the insured is interrupted and the medical expenses are lost due to illness, injury, disability, etc. Insurance institutions provide material assistance. Including disease subsidies and health care, that is, payment for medical care, special medical care, outpatient service, hospitalization, home care services and drug supply. Due to the different levels of national economic development and social systems in different countries, the scope of disease insurance varies greatly. Some countries include the whole people, while others are limited to employed workers. Most countries stipulate that the source of funds is shared by employees and employers, and the state gives certain subsidies.

After the medical insurance is stopped, from the second month, you can't enjoy the relevant subsidies and reimbursement when you go to the hospital. However, if there is still money in the medical insurance card, you can still use the money in the medical insurance card (to pay the medical expenses that are not reimbursed) to buy medicine or go to the hospital for treatment. Therefore, if the medical insurance is only paid off for one or two months, the impact is not great. As long as you are healthy and not sick during this period, you can go to the hospital. As long as you pay in follow-up, you can continue to enjoy medical insurance benefits.

According to the relevant laws and regulations, if the insured units and insured people stop paying medical insurance premiums, they will stop enjoying the medical insurance benefits paid by the medical insurance pooling fund from 1 day of the month following the interruption of payment, but the balance of their personal accounts can continue to be used. When the insured person resumes the insurance formalities, he can enjoy the prescribed medical insurance benefits from the next month 1 day after paying the medical insurance premium. Individual industrial and commercial households without employees, part-time employees who have not participated in social insurance in the employing units and other flexible employees can pay social insurance premiums directly to the social insurance premium collection agencies.
