(1) The difference between moral education and mental health education; Moral education and mental health education are both organic parts of the whole school education, both of which affect people's all-round development from different aspects. Their differences are mainly manifested in the following five aspects:
First, the theoretical basis is different. Moral education is mainly based on the basic principles of Marxist philosophy, ethics and pedagogy, while mental health education is mainly based on psychology, sociology, psychiatry and behavioral science.
Second, the focus of the goal is different. Moral education regulates individual behavior according to social requirements, focuses on improving individual's sense of belonging and pride to the country and society, and thus shapes individual's perfect moral behavior goal. The core issue of its education is the outlook on life. Mental health education pays attention to the reasonable psychological needs of individuals, focuses on improving their sense of value and accomplishment, and aims at shaping their perfect personality. The core of its education is the self-improvement of personality.
Third, the content is different. The content of moral education is full of distinct class and times, mainly including patriotism, collectivism, labor concept and legal concept, while mental health education has no obvious class and times, and its content is nothing more than intellectual factors, non-intellectual factors and psychological adaptation.
Fourth, students have different views. Moral education holds an evaluation view of students, takes students as the object of shaping, attaches importance to the relationship between education and education in the relationship between teachers and students, and emphasizes education and human nature education. However, mental health education holds the view of empathetic students, regards students as a concrete party, regards themselves as helpers and servers, attaches importance to equality and democracy in the relationship between teachers and students, respects and understands students, and emphasizes humanity between education and humanity.
(2) The connection between moral education and mental health education Although there are obvious differences between moral education and mental health education, the connection between them is also very close. Mainly in the following four aspects:
First, they have the same educational purpose. The objects of moral education and mental health education are students, who can help students solve problems in life development and cultivate new people with all-round development through four levels: knowledge, emotion, will and action.
Second, concerns are inseparable. In essence, the ideological problems concerned by moral education belong to the category of psychological phenomena, and students' ideological views, political positions and moral quality are the result of the interaction between external influences and students' internal psychological factors. Students' psychological problems are often manifested in the form of ideological problems. Some problems should be solved through psychological education, and some psychological obstacles can be eliminated through education on outlook on life, world outlook and values.
Third, similar educational channels. Moral education and mental health education should be implemented through curriculum setting, subject infiltration, work of class teachers, extracurricular practical activities, campus culture, home-school cooperation and other ways.
Fourth, follow some of the same educational laws. Whether it is moral education or mental health education, we should follow the law of understanding from shallow to deep, from easy to difficult, and we should follow the educational law of advanced educational concepts, new teacher-student relationship, respect for human values, emphasis on personality development, and positive education, so as to explain people with things, move people with feelings, and guide people with actions.
