After starting the software, the model and current temperature of the hard disk will be displayed first, and the basic disk test interface will be displayed by default. Users can test the read-write performance of the hard disk by clicking the "Start" button, mainly including the transmission rate, storage time and CPU usage when reading and writing data. Moreover, the whole test process will last for several minutes, and users need to wait patiently;
Note: Because the writing test is dangerous, users are expected to use it with caution.

2: Disk Details
On the information tab, HD Tune not only lists the detailed information of each partition of the current hard disk, but also provides the functions supported by the hard disk. In addition, this screen also provides the firmware version, serial number, capacity, cache size and current Ultra DMA mode of the hard disk, which can be said to be very detailed;

3. Disk health diagnosis
On the health screen, HD Tune also carried out a comprehensive physical examination of the disk, involving all aspects of performance parameters of the disk, with detailed numerical display, such as reading error rate, error finding rate, writing error rate, temperature, power-on time, etc. Many users may not know the performance parameters very well, but it can let users know the real situation of hard disk operation.

4: Error Scan Test
On the error scanning test page, users can click the "Start" button to detect whether there are damaged sectors on the disk. However, users should pay attention to the fact that if the "quick scan" option is not checked, the running time will be longer. It is recommended that users check this option for quick detection.

5. Directory use
At first glance, the usage of the directory may make users feel a little confused and don't know what it means. But it's actually very simple. Click the "Scan" button, and you will soon find out all the files and directories existing on your current hard disk, such as the total number of files and directories on your current hard disk, the size of each folder and the total capacity information of your current hard disk.

6. Record benchmark
File benchmark test is mainly to test the buffering performance and burst transmission ability of hard disk. As can be seen from the test in the following figure, when the file length is 16MB and the file is partitioned from 128KB to 1MB, the read-write status of Bian Xiao hard disk reaches the peak.

7: Disk Monitor
On the disk monitoring screen, users can click the "Start" button to monitor the read-write status of the disk in real time;

8: AAM settings
The full name of AAM in English is Automatic Acoustic Management, which translates into Chinese meaning-automatic sound management. The noise of the hard disk is mostly caused by its own vibration and the constant operation of the magnetic head. In other words, in the same environment, the higher the speed of the hard disk, the louder the noise. This function is actually to adjust the noise when the hard disk is running. However, it should be noted that not all computers can turn on this function. If this function is turned on, adjusting the setting to low noise may reduce the performance of the hard disk.

9: Random Access Test
Random access test mainly tests the real seek of hard disk when reading and writing data and the total time of reading and writing operation after seek, which can reflect the real seek performance of a hard disk. The more operations per second, the shorter the average access time.

Three: information, screenshot copy
In addition, HD Tune also provides the function of copying the display information and screenshots of the current interface to the clipboard. Users can realize this function through commands in the file menu and shortcut buttons at the top of the interface;

Four: Option Settings
Users can also use the options in the File menu to command or
Shortcut buttons for setting software-related options; Such as startup mode, transmission rate test, degree of day and font color setting, etc.
