1 research object, content and division of environmental geology
1. 1 research object
Environmental geology is a new branch of geological science and an important part of environmental science. Its research object is a complex system composed of human society and geological environment. Its task is to study the relationship between human activities and geological environment, reveal the occurrence, development and evolution trend of environmental geological problems, comprehensively evaluate the quality of geological environment, put forward countermeasures and methods for rational development, utilization and protection of geological environment, and provide scientific basis for realizing the sustainable development of human society and economy.
1.2 research content
(1) is listed in environmental geology (Edward A. Keller, Univ. of Santa Barbara, 7 the-division, 1996), and its research contents are: land use and environmental problems related to soil, population growth and natural disasters, floods, landslides, earthquakes, volcanic activities, coastal disasters, water shortage and water pollution. ), air pollution and so on.
(2) Research contents listed in Environmental Geology (Revised Edition) (edited by Pan Mao and Tiefeng Li, Higher Education Press, 2003): global change research, regional environmental geological problems research, resource development environmental geological problems research, geological disaster research and prevention, urban environmental geological research, major engineering construction environmental geological research, medical environmental geological research, ecological environmental geological research and modern science.
1.3 Subject status and subject ownership
At present, environmental geology has not formed a systematic discipline system, and the main ones that have been used all the time are: ① environmental hydrogeology; ② Environmental engineering geology; ③ Environmental geochemistry; ④ Disaster geology; ⑤ Urban environmental geology; ⑥ Mine environmental geology; ⑦ Agricultural environmental geology, etc.
According to the Catalogue of Doctoral, Master and Postgraduate Education Disciplines issued by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the State Education Commission 1997, environmental geology has been adjusted to the current first-class discipline: environmental science and engineering (degrees in engineering, science and agriculture can be awarded) (083002). 2 Overview of environmental geological problems in China
Environmental geological problems formed under the influence of natural (primary) and human (secondary) factors. (comprehensive, brief and selective introduction)
Environmental problems have become one of the concerns of the whole world.
