White spot disease is the most common disease, mainly caused by protozoa. It is called White Spot stinkbug or Little Melon stinkbug. It will go deep into skin cells and reproduce asexually, forming small white punctate cysts. Many small white spots can be seen on the body surface, fins and gills of the diseased map fish. The body will get thinner day by day. In the late stage of illness, the fish body is covered with a white film, with increased mucus and dull body color. If the treatment time is delayed, the map fish will lose their lives.
White spot disease mostly occurs when the water temperature environment is relatively underground, especially in the water environment of 15-20 degrees, which is particularly easy to breed melon worms. Therefore, when treating the white spot disease of map fish, the water temperature can be appropriately increased, for example, to 28-30 degrees Celsius. In addition, mercurous nitrate and malachite green can be selected for treatment.
In feeding management, breeders should do a good job in disease prevention. We should replace the map fish with fresh water in time and disinfect it in time to provide a healthy and suitable living environment for the map fish, avoid the interference of germs and lead a healthy and normal life.
