Definition of health (WHO definition)

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as: "Health is not only the absence of disease or weakness, but the integrity of physical, mental and social well-being." This definition emphasizes three important aspects of health: physical, mental and social.

1, physically, health includes the normal operation and function of various systems of the body. This covers the overall state of the body, such as weight, height, functions of various organs and so on. A healthy person should be energetic, physically strong and have good adaptability and resistance.

2. Mentally, health also refers to a state of mental soundness. This includes emotional stability, clear thinking and good moral quality. A mentally healthy person can usually face the challenges of life positively, have normal perception, cognitive and emotional reactions, and have the ability to communicate and solve problems effectively.

3. As far as society is concerned, health involves the role and function of individuals in society. This includes harmonious interpersonal relationships, good social adaptability and the ability to actively participate in social activities. A person with sound social functions should have good social relations, be able to abide by social rules, and have effective communication and cooperation skills.

This definition also emphasizes that health is a dynamic process, not static, but changes with time and environment. People need to constantly maintain and improve their health level to adapt to the ever-changing living and social environment.

The ways to keep healthy are as follows:

1, reasonable diet: diet is one of the important factors to keep healthy. We should keep a balanced diet, take in enough nutrients and control the intake of calories and fat in our diet. Eat more vegetables, fruits, whole grains and foods from protein, and eat less foods high in sugar, fat and salt.

2, moderate exercise: moderate exercise helps the body to stay healthy. It is recommended to do at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise or 75 minutes of high-intensity aerobic exercise every week. In addition, some strength training can be carried out to enhance muscle strength and endurance.

3, adequate sleep: sleep is an important time for physical recovery and repair. It is recommended to keep 7-9 hours of sleep every night. Keeping a regular sleep time is good for your health. Mental health: Mental health is also one of the important factors to keep healthy. We should pay attention to our emotional and mental health, reduce stress and anxiety, and adopt a positive lifestyle to maintain mental health.

4. Avoid bad habits: Smoking, drinking and other bad habits are harmful to health. We should avoid these bad habits and keep a healthy lifestyle. Regular physical examination: Regular physical examination can help us find and treat potential health problems in time.
