The Internet age brings convenience to students' access to information and communication, but it also brings many decadent and backward ideas and thoughts in society. The "three views" of students in higher vocational colleges are not yet fully mature, and they are easily influenced by external bad atmosphere. The network era just provides the media and channels for the dissemination of these information. When students use the Internet to obtain a large amount of information, they will inevitably be infringed and influenced by bad information to varying degrees, thus affecting their mental health. Carrying out mental health education and providing targeted and effective education will effectively overcome the adverse effects of the network age on the mental health of higher vocational students.

(two) to promote the effective improvement of the learning level of their professional courses. Higher vocational colleges believe that the main goal of society is to cultivate high-quality professional skills talents. In this process, students' mental health is closely related to the teaching effect of specialized courses. Compared with professional curriculum education, many higher vocational colleges pay less attention to mental health education, and there are some problems in teachers' investment, curriculum and educational methods, which seriously affect the quality of mental health education. Second, the means of mental health education is single. Some higher vocational colleges adopt the mode of "two courses education" instead of mental health education, and most of them focus on classroom teaching activities, without making full use of network information teaching technology, and the overall education level is not high. Third, the professional level of mental health education teachers is not high, the number of ideological and political counselors is seriously insufficient, and professional teachers have not been fully exerted.

(2) Suggestions on improving the level of mental health education. First of all, higher vocational colleges should pay more attention to mental health education as an important educational content and take it as an important means to promote the reform of teaching management mode and improve teaching quality. Secondly, we should constantly enrich and improve the means of mental health education. In addition to consolidating the main position of the "two courses" education, we should make full use of various modes such as psychological consultation, mental health lectures, social practice and community activities to create a good mental health education atmosphere, guide students to face up to mental health problems, and seek scientific and reasonable solutions in time when encountering psychological problems to avoid the expansion and seriousness of psychological problems. At the same time, we should also make full use of Internet information technology in the network era and introduce it into mental health education activities to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of education. Finally, it is necessary to improve the professional level of mental health education teachers, equip enough ideological and political counselors according to the needs of mental health education, and bring professional teachers into the ranks of mental health education teachers to continuously improve the level of mental health education.
