What is the average life expectancy of teachers?

A survey shows that the average life expectancy of teachers in China is 59.3 years, which is lower than the national average life expectancy 10 years. Another survey shows that the health status of teachers accounts for 10%, sub-health accounts for 70%, and disease accounts for 20%. The health status of teachers shows a downward trend year by year.

The survey results also show that the obsessive-compulsive symptoms, anxiety, interpersonal sensitivity, depression and paranoia of primary and secondary school teachers are higher than those of the general population, and there are widespread emotional disorders.

The factors affecting teachers' health are listed as follows according to the degree of harm: working for more than 10 hours a day, dissatisfied with their living conditions, thinking that their work is not recognized enough and they have no time for physical exercise.

At present, the average life expectancy of China people is 72 years, but the average life expectancy of teachers is only 59.3 years. The education bureau of a city conducted a physical examination of all teachers, and the results showed that only 8% of teachers over 35 years old had normal physical indicators.

Cervical spondylosis, gastrointestinal diseases, headache, eye diseases, gynecological diseases, three highs of heart and blood, and psychological diseases have become teachers' multiple occupational diseases. Moreover, 50% of teachers have psychological barriers, and the sub-health of teachers is three times higher than that of ordinary people.
