HDTune is a software that integrates many hard disk functions. It can test the reading and writing speed of hard disk, scan disk errors, check disk health (S.M.A.R.T), and safely erase data on hard disk.
1. Search for "hdtune" on the Internet through Baidu first, and you can find official website of HD Tune. As shown in the figure
2. After downloading, install HD Tune. Because we are using the trial version of 15 days, we will see the following prompt every time we open the software, as shown in the figure.
3. After opening the HD Tune software, under the "Benchmark Test" page, click the drop-down list in the upper left corner to select the hard disk for performance test. The software defaults to "Read" test, and then click "Start" on the right, as shown in the figure.
4. After reading the performance test, you can see that the performance value of the disk is displayed in the lower right of the software.
The following is the hard disk reading performance data after the test:
Minimum reading: 4.8mb/s.
Maximum reading: 56.8mb/s.
Average reading speed: 45.3 MB/ s
From these data, we can see the performance of the disk. The larger the data value, the faster the disk speed.
