Who is a molecular biologist with the reputation of sequencing master?

Fred Sanger.

British biochemist Fred Sanger (1913 August 2008-) won the Nobel Prize in chemistry with 1958 and 1980 respectively. He is the second person to win two awards in the same field. More importantly, the reason for winning two prizes can be summarized as: sorting. Moreover, he is the only person alive who has won the Nobel Prize twice.

1958: Fred Sangl invented the enzymatic method to determine the sequence of human insulin, thus determining the molecular structure of insulin and creating the field of protein sequencing.

1980: Fred Sanger and walter gilbert both won the Nobel Prize in chemistry. Their contribution lies in using different methods to determine the sequence of DNA. The Sanger method later became the mainstream and was used in the Human Genome Sequencing Project (HGP).
