How to measure emotions with experiments

Emotional measurement method through experiments;

1. Measurement of physiological indicators: emotional state is evaluated by measuring skin electrical response, circulatory system indicators (such as pulse, blood pressure), breathing and other physiological indicators. For example, skin conductance meter can be used to measure skin electrical response and observe the changes of skin conductance in different emotional States.

2. Facial expression measurement: Observing and analyzing facial expressions is a common method to evaluate emotional state. Facial expression coding system (such as FACS) can be used to code and analyze the facial expressions of subjects, so as to infer their emotional state.

3. Voice analysis: By analyzing the characteristics of voice such as tone, sound intensity and speech speed, we can evaluate the emotional state. For example, voice analysis software can be used to analyze the subjects' voice samples and extract acoustic features related to emotions.

4. Self-report method: By asking the subjects to fill out questionnaires or scales, self-report their emotional state. This method can provide information about the subjective feelings of the subjects, but it should be noted that it may be affected by social expectations and other factors.

The influence of emotion on people s psychological state;

1, different emotions will lead to different psychological states. For example, positive emotions, such as happiness and joy, can improve people's psychological state and make people refreshed and optimistic. On the contrary, negative emotions, such as sadness and anger, may make people feel depressed and helpless, resulting in a negative psychological state.

2. Emotion will also affect people's cognition and behavior. For example, when people are in a positive emotional state, their thinking will be more open and they will be more willing to accept new information and challenges, which will help improve their creativity and problem-solving ability. On the contrary, when people are in a negative emotional state, they may become narrow-minded and stubborn, thus affecting their decisions and actions.

3. Long-term emotional problems may also affect people's mental health. If people are often in a negative emotional state, they may have psychological problems such as anxiety and depression. These psychological problems may further affect their emotions and form a vicious circle.
