What public health responsibilities and tasks should medical institutions undertake in promoting the construction of a healthy China?

To promote the construction of "Healthy China", China will focus on six major tasks: First, provide basic public health services covering the whole people and strengthen the prevention and treatment of major diseases. The second is to improve the high-quality and efficient integrated medical and health service system, improve the grading diagnosis and treatment system, and strive to provide residents with life-cycle health management and services. The third is to improve the medical security system and improve the drug supply guarantee mechanism. The fourth is to create a healthy social environment. The factors affecting health are very complicated, including social environment. Therefore, from the perspective of great health and hygiene, we should control environmental pollution and food safety and build a healthy social environment. The fifth is to develop the health industry. Sixth, cultivate healthy self-discipline behavior and improve residents' health literacy.

Judging from the above six tasks, medical institutions are mainly responsible for the first two tasks, namely, prevention and treatment of diseases and provision of better medical services and related systems. Although the third item is also closely related to medical institutions, it is mainly the responsibility of the social security department.
