Generally speaking, dilute hydrochloric acid and acetic acid methods are self-used, which are slow to take effect, but very safe, and most of them will not leave scars;
Alkaline lime method and dilute sulfuric acid method are mostly used by charlatans (fortune tellers). It has been used for decades, and it takes effect quickly, but it is easy to leave scars, so the concentration should not be too high to prevent long scars.
