Domestic drinking water refers to drinking water and people's domestic water. China's current sanitary standard for drinking water sets strict hygienic requirements for drinking water, with the water quality index of 106, and its standard level is equivalent to that of developed countries and regions such as the World Health Organization, the United States and the European Union. Hygienic requirements for drinking water include: (1) no pathogenic microorganisms and parasitic eggs; (2) The chemicals and radioactive substances contained in the water do not cause acute poisoning, chronic poisoning and long-term harm to the human body; (3) Good sensory characteristics: colorless, tasteless, odorless and invisible; (4) should be disinfected.

2. Why does tap water smell of chlorine?

Liquid chlorine disinfection of tap water is a common disinfection method at home and abroad. In order to maintain the disinfection effect of tap water and avoid microbial pollution in the process of pipeline transportation to users, the residual chlorine content in tap water must be not less than 0.05mg/L, so tap water will smell of chlorine.

3. What is secondary water supply and what are the hygiene requirements? Secondary water supply refers to the water supply mode that the drinking water of centralized water supply system is stored or reprocessed by users and transported to users through pipelines. The hygiene of the secondary water supply facilities must meet the requirements of the Hygienic Code for Secondary Water Supply Facilities.

4. What should I do if the tap water is abnormal?

When drinking water is abnormal, immediately call the hotline 12320 to report the situation to the health supervision department, and use water correctly or stop using water under its guidance. At the same time, inform the neighborhood Committee, the property department and neighbors to stop using it, and take 3 to 5 liters of tap water from a clean container as a sample and provide it to the health inspection department.

5. Why is tap water milky white?

When tap water is transported in a high-pressure closed pipeline, the air in the pipeline will be dissolved in water due to high pressure. When tap water flows out of the faucet, the air in the water will be released due to the return to normal pressure, forming countless tiny bubbles, making the appearance of water milky white. After standing for a period of time, it will turn into clarification and will not affect the hygiene of drinking water.

6. What's the matter with drinking water turning yellow?

The yellowing is probably affected by the rust on the inner wall of iron water pipes in the water distribution network. You can drain some tap water and use it after the water quality is clear.
