Legal basis: Frontier Health and Quarantine Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) Article 1 This Law is formulated for the purpose of preventing infectious diseases from being introduced from abroad or coming out of China, carrying out frontier health and quarantine and protecting human health. Article 2 Frontier health and quarantine offices shall be established in ports, airports, frontier ports and frontier rivers that are open to international navigation in People's Republic of China (PRC), and quarantine, monitoring and health supervision of infectious diseases shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of this Law. Article 3 Infectious diseases mentioned in this Law refer to quarantining infectious diseases and monitoring infectious diseases. Quarantine infectious diseases refer to plague, cholera, yellow fever and other infectious diseases identified and published in the State Council. Surveillance of infectious diseases is determined and published by the health administrative department of the State Council.
