"24 Billion" tells a true story. William Stanley milligan (Billy) is the first suspect in American history who committed a felony but was acquitted, because he is a schizophrenic with multiple personalities. Billy has as many as 24 multiple personalities. The personalities in him can talk to each other, play chess and control each other's behavior.
All the people live in one hall. Now whoever walks in the spotlight in the center of the hall controls Billy's personality, but these personalities don't know what the other person has done, so Billy's life before treatment is extremely chaotic.

The Creative Background of "2.4 Billion"
Writer Daniel Keyes first met Billy at Athens Mental Health Center in Athens, Ohio. Billy asked Keith to tell his story and assured him that he was the first person to know his inner feelings, and even Billy's lawyer and psychiatrist didn't fully understand it. He wants the world to know about his mental illness.
Keith has doubts about Billy's situation, but he is quite interested. Keith's curiosity was further aroused when he saw an article entitled "Ten Faces of Billy" published in Newsweek.
Later, when Keith went to the ward of Athens Hospital to talk with Billy, he found that Billy was completely different from the first time he met him, and he could not communicate smoothly and provide details. After many unsuccessful attempts to communicate, Keith had the idea of giving up. The next day, something shocking happened. For the first time, all Billy's personalities were completely integrated and became a brand-new individual.
