Recently, a gas explosion occurred in Room 40 1, Unit 4, Building 225, Dafangli Community, Binjiang Street, Daowai District, Harbin. After receiving the alarm, Daowai District quickly launched an emergency rescue plan, and public security, emergency, housing construction, fire protection, health, civil affairs, gas, power supply and other departments immediately arrived to carry out rescue work.
Why does the gas explosion hurt so much?
Compared with gas pipelines, gas tanks have natural disadvantages. The gas pipeline in the building will not explode, and the related design, management and maintenance are unified. Avoid pipeline explosion from the source, because the sealed environment leaks a certain concentration, so it will deflagrate when it meets an open flame. The gas tank itself is equivalent to an oversized pressure cooker, so it is difficult to guarantee the quality of reuse and the use environment is complex. The domestic volume is small, the use environment is stable, the pressure is low, and the relative safety is high. The commercial volume is large, the pressure is high, and the explosion itself is extremely destructive. Moreover, when it explodes, the gas in the tank will explode again when it meets an open flame, which means it will be blown twice. Even the tanks on the side continue to explode, and many accidents are two or more loud noises.
Is there any sign of gas explosion?
Of course, there are signs. In fact, all kinds of gases are colorless and odorless. Therefore, people deliberately add low-concentration mercaptan gas. The fart stinks because it contains 0. 1~0.3% mercaptan. So this gas tastes bad. If there is a gas leak, most people in an area should be able to feel it.
Who is safer, natural gas or gas?
From the explosion limit, combustible gas is generally dispersed in the air within the explosion limit, and once it is ignited by an open flame, it is easy to cause an explosion. Therefore, from the perspective of leakage, the lower the explosion limit, the narrower and safer it is. In addition, it will not explode above the upper limit of the explosion limit. Natural gas: mainly methane, with content ranging from 70% to 90% according to different gas sources. Generally speaking, the explosion limit of natural gas is about 5- 15%. Gas: mainly carbon monoxide, water gas will contain a certain proportion of hydrogen, and different production methods have different contents. Because it contains carbon monoxide, it is easy to cause carbon monoxide poisoning. General household gas belongs to coke oven gas, accounting for about 4.7%-37.6%. Therefore, relatively speaking, natural gas is safer, and liquefied gas and gas are more likely to explode. But no one has nothing to do with air leakage, so there is no problem in normal use, and there is no need to change the type of gas because of this.
