Xin Li: Do we need to choose vegetarian food?

Physically and mentally, vegetarianism will make our body and mind smoother and more stable.

According to the tradition of China, including the Indian tradition, it is believed that food is light and simple, which produces less impurities and less obstacles to body and mind. Overall health also involves personal emotions, lifestyles, sports and so on. If only from the point of view that diet affects spirit or energy, it is better to be vegetarian. This is a cycle. Vegetarian food can make people calm, and people with a calm mind eat less meat. From the perspective of equality of all beings, not eating other life will make us feel more at ease.

But in reality, the choice of food is still a natural gradual change according to our current state. If our hearts are not peaceful, we still have a lot to grab and a lot of desires to control ourselves and others, then choosing vegetarian food in such an energy-intensive physical and mental mode is only a conscious choice, which may bring some harm to our body and mind.

Whether or not to be a vegetarian is a natural process, and it is best to conform to your inner state.

I don't approve of forcing myself to become a vegetarian. In this way, even if you are vegetarian, it doesn't make much sense. Because, if you exert a coercive pressure at a certain point in your life, then this pressure will inevitably spread to other levels of your life. Besides, you may be in it without knowing it.

People's nervousness and resistance will offset the benefits of vegetarianism.

Our modern education is only looking for a single factor, as if regulating the liver is good for your insomnia, or if you do this, that matter will be solved, but it is not the case. Remember, we live in a three-dimensional, interrelated world, and all causes and effects coexist and influence each other.

When solving all problems, we need to be in a relatively suitable and secure state first, so that the pressure will be less.

It is best to reassure yourself first, and then reassure people around you. The advantage of this is that we will reduce the chaos caused by pressure everywhere. Then, the part of our life that is really stressful and needs to be faced well will appear, and we also have the energy and space to try to resolve it.

We need to sort out the priorities of all our problems first, and then find the most relevant methods, including faith and learning classics. These are all nutrients, but if we don't have a digestive mechanism, it will become a burden.

We have too many constraints and burdens. If you study Chinese medicine in a state of indigestion, it will become: you can't eat this and that. After studying Buddhism, you have to be a vegetarian. After learning Chinese studies, you have to recite it every day. We need to look at it from another angle. Isn't it better that all good things can be used by us instead of trapping us? Man is free.
