(1)Avoid standing or sitting position for a long time; if you need to stand for a long time because of your work: you can do the action of lifting your toes, heels or ankle joints, which can promote the contraction of calf muscles, and use the pumping effect of calf muscles to promote the venous blood flow back to the heart, which can reduce the pressure of veins in lower limbs, and prevent varicose veins in lower limbs.
(2) Standing workers in the break between jobs, when possible, you can take off your shoes, feet elevated, feet should be higher than the heart of more than 30 centimeters; after work to return home you can lie down on the bed, feet on the wall to reach ninety degrees (the same as inverted), elevated for more than 15 minutes, you can reduce the venous blood on the lower limbs of the pressure to alleviate the lower extremities of the symptoms of acidity, discomfort, edema and so on.
(3) When conditions permit or when you come home from work, take off your shoes and walk barefoot or wear loose slippers, which can improve the blood circulation of the feet and make the foot muscles get exercise to achieve the purpose of preventing varicose veins.
(4) Avoid wearing high heels for a long time, flat heels can help to prevent varicose veins, and always wear sports or traveling shoes with sponge cushion during physical exercise, which is helpful to relieve the pressure on legs and prevent varicose veins.
(5) Correct some high risk factors or bad habits: overweight people should control their diet and increase the amount of exercise to reduce weight; constipated people by adjusting the dietary structure and taking laxatives to correct constipation if necessary to avoid the increase in intra-abdominal pressure; correct the bad habits such as looking at cell phones, reading newspapers and other bad habits when going to the toilet, squatting for a long time will give cause an increase in the venous pressure in the lower limbs.
