During the National Day holiday, my uncle invited my whole family to visit Xinjiang, and I started my trip to Xinjiang with curiosity.
After Tianchi Lake, my name is Hungry, and my uncle took us to a snack bar opened by local Uighurs. We ordered baked buns, mutton kebabs, mutton soup, Xinjiang vegetarian rice and nang.
Baked buns are like sesame cakes on Xinhua Street in Shangtang, except that they are filled with mutton. The kebabs here are pure, red and fleshy. Dark red ones are spicy. I like to eat meaty ones because they are not spicy. There are mutton slices and coriander in the mutton soup, which is delicious. This is my first time to eat. There is mutton in the vegetarian meal, which tastes like fried rice with eggs; Naan is a biscuit-like food, made of flour and sesame. It's light, but it's delicious.
I took a kebab in one hand and a roast steamed stuffed bun in the other, and I ate it with a big mouth. In a blink of an eye, these things were done for us.
Xinjiang's snacks live up to their reputation. Come again next time.
