Momog National Nature Reserve is located in the northeast of Baicheng City, situated on the picturesque banks of the Nengjiang River, at the confluence of the Nengjiang River and the Taohe River, where the rivers are longitudinal and the lakes and depressions are dotted with natural landscapes such as tussock wetlands on the riverbanks, reed wetlands in the depressions of the lakebanks and the alkali salt marshes. Momoge is a famous protected area for red-crowned cranes and other rare birds, and is known as "the hometown of cranes and the paradise of birds". Nenjiang Bay National Wetland Park is located in Jilin Province, Baicheng City, Daan City. The Nenjiang River originates from the foothills of the Yilihule Mountains in the Daxingan Mountains, from north to south, all the way for thousands of miles, to the Da'an plateau, due to the terrain of the southeast and the formation of a natural harbor. Since ancient times, it has been a natural dock and the largest inland port open to the outside world in Jilin Province. In the past, when water resources were abundant, the area was densely covered with bubbling swamps, forested grasses, bushy reeds, waterfowl, fish and shrimp, and the primitive ecological landscape was beautiful. The municipal government of Daan made a decision to protect the wetland, develop eco-tourism and build an ecological civilization. And as an entry point, in-depth organization and implementation of the "river city", "water city" development strategy, to create a set of "natural wetlands, urban development, ecological landscape" trinity of the Riverside garden city and ecological tourism city. In accordance with this idea, the municipal government of Daan City declared a national wetland park project, December 23, 2010, was approved by the State Forestry Administration as a national wetland park.
Nenjiang Bay National Wetland Park has a total area of 2,441 hectares, of which 1,573 hectares are wetlands, accounting for 64.4% of the total area. The Wetland Park has planned a wetland protection and conservation area, isolated from the outside world, with artificial daily patrols to guard against the impact of man-made activities and to maintain the natural habitat of wildlife. After several years of restoration and protection, the diversity of wetland plants and animals has been significantly improved. First, the water grass is luxuriant, reeds, green willow shade, years not seen bushes also clumps of bushes grow. Second, the number of birds is increasing, pheasant flocks, geese and ducks flying, cranes can be seen everywhere. 2011 fall, after 32 years of absence, the cormorant flew to the Nenjiang Bay, the number of more than 1,000, roosting for up to 28 days.
