Synopsis
On April 10, 1912, the luxury passenger liner Titanic, known as "the miracle of the world's industrial history," began its maiden voyage, departing from Southampton, England, to New York, USA. Rose (Kate Winslet), a rich girl, sits in first class with her mother and fiancé Carl; on the other side, Jack, a debonair teenage painter, also wins a ticket to the lower class in a gambling game at the pier.
Rose, tired of the hypocrisy of the upper class and unwilling to marry Carl, intends to throw herself into the sea and is rescued by Jack. Soon after, the beautiful and lively Rose falls in love with the handsome and cheerful Jack, who takes Rose to a dance in the lower class and paints her portrait, and their relationship gradually warms up.
