Youying Village.
Youying Village was originally named Wujia Dazhuang and Guoshi Bridge. It was renamed "Youying Village" in memory of martyr Lin Youying, the instructor of the New Fourth Army Camp who was killed by the Japanese. Lin Youying was born in an overseas Chinese businessman family in the Philippines. In early 1938, while still studying at university, he decided to return to China from Nanyang, join the army, and joined the Jiangnan Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army of the New Fourth Army. In the same year, he joined the Communist Party of China. After three years of baptism during the Anti-Japanese War, he grew into a qualified commander of the New Fourth Army. He is a member of the Party Committee of the 54th Regiment of the 18th Brigade of the 6th Division of the New Fourth Army and an instructor of the 1st Battalion. He once led his troops to victory in the battles of Linze Town, Dali Village, and Hongqiaozi. On April 8, 1942, Lin Youying led his first and second companies to surround more than 100 puppet troops who came to "mopping up" in the Guoshiqiao area. He mobilized more than 1,000 local people from the Sword Society to help in the battle. During the battle, it was discovered that there were a few disguised Japanese soldiers among the puppet troops. They pursued them fiercely and beat the more than 100 Japanese soldiers who usually showed off their power. They abandoned their helmets and armor and fled in a panic. Finally, they hid in the Wu Family Ancestral Hall at Guo's Bridge. At that time, Lin Youying They considered capturing a few Japanese soldiers for use in the future anti-war alliance, so they did not attack by force and used loudspeakers to persuade them to surrender. The enemy pretended to surrender and raised the white flag; at the same time, they took the opportunity to release homing pigeons to ask for help from the Japanese in nearby Linze. After a while, gunshots were heard from Du Xiang, and enemy reinforcements arrived.
