The origin of roses is "foreign"
The real origin of Damascus rose is neither Syrian nor Posca Shang area (Kashan, Isfahan Province), nor Bulgarian, but it was introduced into Xinjiang from 30 degrees north latitude in central Sichuan, which is now the border between eastern Sichuan and western Chongqing. In the Han Dynasty, Xinjiang was collectively referred to as the Western Regions, and the English name of the rose originated from the fact that it was the national flower of the soft branch countries in the Western Regions. After it was introduced into Arabia and Europe, it evolved from meat cheese to rose.
