Xixi Phoenix (1952 -), Hong Kong writer, formerly known as Wong Yee Ying, originally from Chenghai, Shantou, Guangdong, and later immigrated to British Hong Kong with his family, graduated from Pirie Ross Girls' High School, and received a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree from the Department of English, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, in 1975. She has traveled to many countries and studied film and administration at the University of Oxford, Cosmopolitan House, London and Scotland. He has also worked as a professor in three tertiary institutions and as an executive director of a large organization, and writes in his spare time.
His brother, Wong Wai Leung, has been a professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong for many years and is also a writer, now working in Taiwan.
