Better Tomorrow (song)
In 1968, the year of world peace, a group of Taiwanese stars gathered to perform Better Tomorrow!
/watch/295569.html From the singer's point of view, "Tomorrow will be better" has two meanings, in fact, this is a singer's super than one, the lyrics page does not specify the singer, just test the singer's voice cavity recognition, the company / singer has its own big and small brand difference, rare is the appearance of the sequence and exposure from the song's demand considerations, each safe.
The 1985 song "Tomorrow Will Be Better" is considered to be the only one of its kind in Taiwan, in terms of motivation, scheduling, production, lyrics, music, singing and distribution!
That year, the recording industry stood up for its own survival rights, it was a time when no one threw eggs or held up white cloth strips, the recording industry fought for anti-piracy, the theme behind it was grim, but they expressed it in the flexibility of the song's appeal, and the penetration of the song's voice was far-reaching, and it was more and more a contrast to the grotesque vulgarity of today's society.
In 2003, Taiwan's piracy problem was as out of control as the SARS epidemic, and at least in this part of the world, the new government did not make the environment "better tomorrow. Putting aside the hopelessness of the subject matter, as a pop song, "Tomorrow Will Be Better" still stands up when you listen to it 18 years later, which is quite a feat for a song that starts with a specific subject matter.
The first thing that made "Better Tomorrow" so popular was its clear conceptualization, smooth melody and ease of singing. The lyrics were written by a group of writers, including Luo Dayou, Zhang Dachun, Xu Naisheng, Li Shouquan, Qiu Fusheng, Zhang Aijia, and Zhan Hongzhi, who were all involved in the arts, music, and media, and whose literacy level is fully reflected in this song.
"Gently wake up your sleeping mind, slowly open your eyes, see if the busy world is still spinning in solitude..."
The whole song starts with everyone "opening their eyes" and builds up to the music of nature, war, childhood and life.
The song gathers 60 singers for the chorus, but only one-third of the singers can have a solo, and each of them has two lines to take over, in order: Cai Qin, Yu Tian, Su Rui, Pan Yueyun, Zhen Ni, Li Jianfu, Lin Huiping, Wang Zhilei, Chen Shu Hua, Jin Zhijuan, Wang Menglin, Qi Yu, Zheng Yi, Jiang Hui, Yang Lin.
For the chorus, Yingying Huang and Hong Ronghong took over the first time, singing four lines each, while Fei Yuqing sang all the choruses in the second time. The chorus is placed at the end of the song, with the chorus singing twice, followed by Su Rui's solo, Qi Qin's chorus, then Yu Tian's solo, Su Rui's chorus, and finally ending the song with the chorus weakening and Qi Qin's chorus.
From the singer's point of view, "Tomorrow will be better" has two meanings, in fact, this is a singer's super than a ratio, the lyrics page does not specify the singer, just test the singer's voice cavity recognition, the company / singer has its own big and small brand difference, rare is the appearance of the preface and the degree of exposure from the song's demand consideration, each of their own share.
Secondly, the repetition of the chorus at the end of the song, the singers cross-collaboration, the formation of a rare work of unity. The significance of the collaboration is highlighted by the contrasting nature of the singers. Su Rui, who sings rock, harmonizes for Yu Tian, a big veteran of the opera school, and Qi Qin, who doesn't have the opportunity to solo, keeps harmonizing for other big names in the coda, which reminds me of watching NHK's "Red and White" every year, where the big names cross over and harmonize and back up the other singers, which is a downright rarity in Taiwan's songwriting scene!
That year, more than 20 singers from different companies participated in "Tomorrow Will Be Better", and each company wanted to obtain the distribution rights, which was worth mentioning. Even though the competition was fierce, everyone sat down graciously at the National Union Hotel and took an open bidding process, which was finally won by Blue & White at a high bidding price. Although almost all of the local companies at the time have now been swallowed up by the international big five, with only Rolling Stones and Rekall remaining, the Blue and White's single bid was enough to make history.
In 2003, Taiwan's singer-songwriters once again assembled to sing the anti-epidemic song "Hand in Hand," which was backed by a consortium and had a very different starting point and purpose than "Tomorrow Will Be Better," but it was also a rare public service song in which singers worked together, so it was natural to draw comparisons. Can the lyrics, the singers and the production standards surpass those of the previous album? Especially after a few years, whether it can be a mark of the era of 2003, testing the talent and scheduling ability of today's pop music industry.
