Special Highlights
1. The beast area: The beast area of ??Shanghai Wildlife Park is divided into five categories: lion area, tiger area, cheetah area, bear area, and liger and tiger mixed area. Visitors need to take a sealed tour bus to visit. The "Lion Zone" is home to a group of ferocious carnivores on the African grasslands - African lions. They live in groups with one male and multiple females. The male lions are strong and have mane hair from head to neck. The beasts in the lion area are fed live food to ensure that the animals' wild survival ability does not deteriorate. When lions hunt, most of the female lions act in groups and attack at the same time. During the whole process, the male lions rarely participate in the battle, but they have to be the first to enjoy the prey. Lions have a strong sense of hierarchy in the population. Male lions often fight for the status of the lion king. After the new lion king ascends the throne, he will kill the cubs of the previous lion king so that the female lion can give birth to her own offspring as soon as possible. . The "Tiger Zone" is home to Siberian tigers and South China tigers.

The "liger and tiger mixed breeding area", as the name suggests, is an area where lions and tigers are mixed together. It is impossible for tigers and lions to meet in nature, but the Shanghai Wildlife Park has set up a liger and tiger mixed breeding area. The first purpose is to increase the viewing pleasure; the second is to increase the chance of breeding ligers or tigones. This kind of cross-breeding product between a liger and a tiger is extremely rare in domestic zoos.
2. Captive Animal Area: The captive animal area of ??Shanghai Wildlife Park is an area for tourists to visit on foot. The animal species displayed in this area are very rich, including: Giant Panda House, Golden Monkey Island, Crocodile Island, Red Panda Area, parrot pavilion, mandrill pavilion, orangutan pavilion, hanging monkey pavilion, white lion pavilion, white tiger pavilion, lemur island, kangaroo area, ostrich area.
In the center of this area, there are two large artificial lakes, surrounded by various waterfowl and birds. Many animal venues are also built around the lakes, and the environment is very beautiful.
In addition to displaying various rare animals and birds that people are familiar with, the museum also displays relatively unfamiliar species, such as mandrills and white tigers. Mandrills mainly live in places such as Guinea and Congo in Africa. Because their faces are black and ugly, they are also nicknamed ghost baboons. They like to inhabit rocky areas of tropical rainforests and live in small groups. They don't like climbing, but some mandrills have the habit of sleeping in trees at night. Mandrills have a very violent temperament, especially the males, who are good at fighting.
