At the age of eighteen, Kathy Sit was a part-time model. After graduating from secondary school, she enrolled in the City University of Hong Kong, majoring in creative media. In 2003, she was recommended to Warner Records in Hong Kong by her uncle, who had been working in the music industry for a long time. After an audition, she joined Warner Records.

Kiki Sit's "XBF" and "Madonna Kiss" captivated audiences and made her one of the most promising female newcomers in 2003. Her debut album was not released until April 2004, when the song "Chilo Reeves Writes Back" was aired on the radio and topped all the pop charts in Hong Kong. With this song, Kathy Sit's debut album "F" went gold (25,000 copies) in just one week.

As her popularity grew, she became a sought-after artist by advertisers. She has been the spokesperson for Toshiba Laptops, Sagem Mobile Phones, White Rabbit Kissing Honey, Triple Fiber, Complete Contact Lenses and Blink Eye Lotion.

In April 2004, Kathy Sit traveled to Osaka, Honshu, Japan to take photos for her photo book "F-Trip". The photo book was launched at the 2004 Hong Kong Comic Festival. In addition, the limited edition "FileeeDoll" was also released at the festival and was sold out within four days. Many of the plots and dialogues in this film are y touching and have not only made Kathy Sit a multi-million dollar box office heroine.

September 2005 saw the release of Kathy Sit's second set of films, "Beloved" directed by Ma Wai Ho, which stars Kathy Sit as a poor girl in an old village house in the New Territories, who takes care of her paralyzed older brother and young niece, and carries the burden of the whole family. This is a new challenge compared to her previous role as a young lady in "Precocious".

In December 2005, Kathy Sit released her third solo album ME, which included all the photos from the cover to the album artwork, and the album artwork was taken by her, and she also handled the artwork for the album, and included many hit songs such as "There's a Birdie" and "Searching for the Unicorn", etc. In addition, the album also included a DVD of her first solo concert, "Concert of the Fiery Orchestra".
