Picasso's three dancers
From 65438 to 0925, Picasso participated in the first exhibition of surrealism. This is the result of his association with Brighton. However, Brighton thought his image was too attached to the concrete, so Picasso denied the surrealist. Later, he explored new abstract forms to awaken his old interest in volume and block decomposition, and this stage masterpiece "Three Dancers" appeared.
There are naturalistic factors in all three dancers. He screwed up all the positions of his eyes, chest and limbs and couldn't find any reasoning factors. The eyes move to the edge of the head, there is an eye in the chest, and the front and side of the face are put together for the first time. He no longer needs "order", just composition. When talking with Atariad about sketching, he said, "I am not imitating nature, but facing nature." This painting is a companion piece of "Three Musicians" he painted in 192 1, and it is a reconstruction of a geometric image. Among the three dancers, the grinning dancer on the left has turned her head to the left, but her movements are very easy. She raised one foot; A dancer in the middle raised her hands and her chest was towering. These three images are clearer than his images in Girls in avignon and People.
He called his former cubism primitive cubism, and this Three Dancers is lyrical cubism.
The Three Dancers was written in the spring of 1925, with a big picture of 2 15× 143 cm. It is now in the Tate Museum in London.

Picasso's enthusiasm for cubism has increased since The Girl of avignon. During the period from 1908 to 19 10, his cubist creation showed a trend of completely decomposing the image. From 19 10, the objects he painted became more fragmented, printed symbols appeared, and even "sticker" technology was added. In the previous paragraph, people called his cubism "the period of decomposition cubism"; The latter stage is "comprehensive cubism period"; The combination of these two periods is the heyday of Picasso's cubism. For example, the factory in Alta, the woman in mandolin, the woman's head, the portrait of Conwheeler, the portrait of worrall and so on. All belong to the cubism of the previous stage, which is a collage of pieces of paper and newspaper clippings. Such as playing cards, glasses, wine bottles (this painting is also called "Long live France"), "Portrait of a Girl" and so on. , belongs to the later period of cubism.
19 16, Picasso assisted the Russian Gigarev Ballet, which was touring France, to design scenery and costumes for them. He met Olga Koklova, a ballerina of the troupe, and finally married her. This dance company had a great influence on the eve of the October Revolution in Russia. Picasso cooperated with them and went to Italy with them. After going to Italy, Picasso changed his inclination and turned to classical painting style. The works of art in ancient Greece, Rome and Renaissance aroused his worship of classical painting. He used rigorous techniques to paint Olga (19 17) and Paul (1924) in the armchair as funny characters. He also added sand to his paintings, and his representative works "Woman in Three Baths by the Spring" and "Woman Running on the Beach" were painted in this way.
