Legend of the origin of Yushe overlord whip

There are different opinions about the origin of the whip of Yushe overlord. Han people have three kinds of sayings:

When it comes to the Chu-Han dispute at the end of Qin Dynasty, Xiang Yu and Liu Bang both celebrated each other with high-fives: Wang Zhi was the first to enter Xianyang, and then Xiang Yu was invincible all the way. Every time he captured a city, Wang Xiang stood on horseback, waving his whip, singing and dancing. When the dance reached its climax, he ordered his foot soldiers to dance again and celebrate the victory together. Its grandeur and splendor attracted and infected the local people, and people followed suit. So this impromptu dance form to celebrate victory spread from the military camp to the people and gradually evolved into a traditional dance program. It is also said that Xiang Yu led troops to fight in Taihang Mountain area and once camped in Yushe, so he originated in Yushe. Because Xiang Yu claimed to be the overlord of Chu, he got the name "overlord whip".

Secondly, according to the ancient county records of Yushe, at the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, Zhao Wang Xerox was a native of Yushe after the Sixteen Countries of Wuhu. At that time, King Schleswig of Zhao was dissatisfied with the oppression of the Western Jin Dynasty and led many people to resist, and the people responded one after another. Schleswig's power is growing, and he is called "the leader of the dynasty". At this time, Schleswig-Holstein was determined to dominate the Central Plains. After he won the war, the soldiers could not restrain their joy, so they spontaneously raised their guns and danced. This dance form spread to the people and gradually developed into a colorful whip form to express Wang Zhao's intention of ruling the Central Plains. Therefore, this dance is called "overlord whip", and Wang Zhao's hometown is in Yushe, so "overlord whip" naturally originated in Yushe.

Thirdly, according to legend, in the Song Dynasty, people in Yushe practiced martial arts, regardless of their age, and there were many martial arts masters. Among them, there is an old man who has strong martial arts and no one can beat him. He is called "overlord". In ancient times, no matter the official or the business firm, when transporting gold and silver, they all asked him to be a bodyguard. He is good at practicing whipping, and his whipping skills are superb, varied and profound. The whip rod is about one meter long, which is not only a tool to drive away animals, but also a weapon to prevent the enemy from self-defense. Driven by him, more and more people are good at whipping, and with the passage of time, their whipping skills gradually evolved into a dance form.

Although the above three statements hold their own words, they have several things in common. A, overlord whip has a long history, almost as long as 2000 years, the shortest 1000 years; Second, the birthplace is Yushe; Third, the overlord whip evolved from war or martial arts. Its popularity in Yushe can be used as evidence of the above three statements.
