Biography of Lawrence Liu

Born in 1949, originally from Beijing, graduated from Columbia University with a doctoral degree. His representative works include "The Killer's True Biography", "Lighting a Lamp in the Heart", "Not Teaching You to Deceive", etc. He is also the author of "The Killer's True Biography".

Experience

In 1983, he published "Flower Sketching and Painting" (in English and Chinese), and in 984, "Landscape Sketching and Painting" (in English and Chinese). Humorous essay collection "small life big cover" published by Crown Magazine. 1986 Published "Lighting a Light", a collection of essays. In 1997, he was invited to write a column for the national publication "Middle School Student Monthly", and his contribution was donated to Project Hope.

Received the "Minister of Education" award for the first place in the Art Exhibition of the Art Department of Normal University.

"Listening to the Qin Painting of the monk Joon" was selected by the National Museum of History in Taiwan and sent to the Eighth Sino-Japanese Art Exchange Exhibition.

Starring in the stage play "Wuling Man".

He was recruited as an art teacher at Success High School.

Invited by the New Park Provincial Museum in Taipei to hold his first solo exhibition. (Since then, he has had four solo exhibitions in Taiwan and more than thirty abroad, which are not recorded here.)

Produced the program "Current Affairs Forum" on CTS and won the Golden Bell Award.

Small Words from the Window was selected and printed as the best reading material for Taiwan's soldiers and officers. Received a Certificate of Honor.

With Zhou Cheng, Lin Qianxian, Li Yihong, and Tu Canlin, the group formed the "West Window Gallery Painting Society".

1977

Publication of a collection of poems and essays, Essays from the Window.

He was voted "Most Popular TV Reporter" by the weekly TV magazine, and immediately quit his job as a reporter at CTS.
