1950 On July 27th, the people's government of Chahar Province, with the approval of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Central People's Government, redrawn the boundary between Chabei and Inner Mongolia, merged the area south of Zhang Duo Highway in Baoyuan County with the second district of Duolun County, and established Guyuan County, which was under the jurisdiction of Chabei Department and administered Pingdingbao.
